The objective of this study was to determine the proper level of organic fertilizer integration with mineral compounds and vermicompost to improve the growth and yield of rice straw mushroom. A completely randomized block experiment was designed in outdoor condition with 8 treatments and 5 replications, each replication as a row length of 1.5m. The treatments included (1) supplement ofHVP 301.B 10g, (2) supplement ofHVP 301.B 20g, (3) supplement ofHVP 301.B: 30g, (4) supplement of vermicompost 10g, (5) supplement of vermicompost 30g, (6) supplement of vermicompost 50g, (7) supplement of vermicompost 70g, (8) no supplement of HVP 301.B and vermicompost. The results showed that rice straw mushroom cultivated in outdoor condition with supplement either organic fertilizer plus mineral compounds as HVP 301.B (10g) or vermicompost (70g) per 1.5m of bed length enhanced the length, width of the first 30 mushroom fruiting bodies (MFB), the number of MFB and mean weight per a MFB as compared to no supplement, therefore, the yields of mushroom on these treatments increased.

This study aimed to use two insecticidal products, Dupont Prevathon 5SC and Radiant 60SC,to manage the infestation of the Fall Armyworm on maize. These products have shown the highest effective insecticide, less toxic to humans and the environment. The experiments were conducted at the Plant Research and Development Institute in the Autumn-Winter 2019, using two low-toxic insecticides: Dupont Prevathon 5SC (active ingredient Chlorantraniliprole 5 percent) and Radiant 60SC (active ingredient Spinetoram 60 percent), the dosage of the drug as recommended by the manufacturer. The results have identified the combination spray formula Chlorantraniliprole 5 percent + Spinetoram 60 percent, repeated spraying results in the highest fall glue insecticide, eliminating 100 percent of insects on trees after 7 days of spraying and has not caused the effect on the final corn yields.

For breeding new high yieldand quality rice varieties for contributing to the recent variety distribution,the VN20 ricecultivar was developed by the Crops Research and Development Institute of Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) from thecross segregating populationsbetween E15S and Huong com (R2) lines by the pedigree method. As a result, the VN20 rice cultivars hashad some good agronomical traits, such as short duration, from 135-138 days and yield of 5.8-7.0 tons/ha in the spring season; 112-115 days and yield of 5.0-5.5 tons/ha in the summer season. Additionally, the VN20 hasshown good resistance tosomemajor pests, diseases, and slender grain (length/width ratio 3.66), high gelatinization temperature, low amylose content (12.6%) and carried the fgraromatic gene.Thus, the breeding through cross thehybrid between between aromatic Thermo-sensitive Genic Male Sterile (TGMS) line and high quality rice inbred variety, and was selected by thepedigree method which can generated new rice variety, has good quality and suitable cultivation conditionsin northern of Vietnam.

This study was conducted to evaluate some agro-biological characteristics of 14 domestic and exotic cassava materials in Gia Lam, Hanoi condition, and to evaluate the resistance of the materials through artificial infection experiments by the transplanting method. The material was grown in the field in a sequential experiment without repeating, tracking some agro-biological characteristics. The materials were havested after 8-11 months. The plant height of the materials ranged from 165.2-183.2cm, there are 8 materials with branching height. Most materials have only 1 stem/cluster, CM15, CM21 had 2 stems/cluster and CM60 had 3 stems/cluster. The number of tubers/tree varies from 4.3-15.8 tubers/tree. The highest weight of fresh tubers was obtained CM15 (5.0 kg/tree) and 2 control varieties (5.26-5.82 kg/tree). Using the tranplanting method, evaluated after 2 weeks, 40 successful transplanted trees of 13 materials were evaluated. Genotyping of these transplanted trees was checked by JSP1/JSP2 and JSP1/JSP3 primers detected the presence of ACMV in plants of 8 materials (CM2, CM3, CM8, CM15, CM20, CM60, KM140 and KM94). Assessing the level of infection after 3 months of transplantation, the group of resistant and highly resistant varieties were identified including CM15, CM16, CM21, CM60, CM88, CM50, CM61 and KM94.

The objective of this study was to distinguish genetic diversity of 44 sweet corn inbred lines developed by selfing at S3-4 generation from exotic germplasmsofThailand, Japan, China for hybrid fruit corn breeding. The research was laid out on a RCBD design at the Crop Research and Development Institute in spring season 2018. The results showed that 44 inbred lines could be grouped into 8 distinct agronomical groups with genetic similarity of 0.16. The Brix degrees (representative for sugar content) showed strongly significant negative correlated with 1,000 grain weight (r = -0.8579**). SSR marker can be used for identify pericarp thickness of sweet corn inbred lines with high accuracy. Seventeen sweet corn inbred lines D18, D27, D12, D15, D13, D41, D20, D38, D29, D39, D9, D26, D19, D24, D8, D10, D43 were sellected have oBrix from 13.5 to 23.8, thickness of pericarp from 44.5µm to 81.9µm and marketable husk yield from 6.7 to 9.7 ton/ha. These lines can be used for sweet inbred lines development for hybrid fruit corn breeding program.

The experiments were to determine optimal technical practice for F1seed production of hybrid rice cultivars HQ21 for highest yield. They were carried out in 2018 summer season on the field of Crops Research and Development Institute of VNUA, Gialam district, Hanoi.The technical practices are sowing season, row ratio of male: female lines, transplanting density of female line, fertilizer dose and GA3spraying dose. The parental lines were sown into 8 seasons, each day separated by 07 days. Percentage of parents is arranged with 04 different formulas in the form of RCB design. Four transplanting density and 4 different fertilizer doses arranged in Split-plot design. Experiment to determine the appropriate GA3spraying dose for F1hybrid seed production field is arranged in a RCB design.The results show that, the sowing date of parental lines was recommended such that heading date of parental lines set in from 25thAugust to 10th September, female line was sown 5 days before male line, row ratio of male:female was 2:14, transplanting density of female line was 50 hills/m2, fertilizer dose was 120kg N + 60kg P2O5+ 60kg K2O/haand the amount of GA3sprayed per hectare was 160 grams of pure.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of transplanting density and fertilizer doses for inbred rice cultivar ĐH12 yield. The experiments were designed by using the two factors (Split-plot type) with four transplanting density levels and four fertilizer doses. These experiments were conducted in three northern provinces in the spring and summer seasons. For the Red River Delta, ĐH12 has shown that the optimal transplanting was at 40 plants/m2both spring and summer season, chemical manure 100kg N + 100kg P2O5+ 75kg K2O/ha (spring season) and 90kg N + 90kg P2O5+ 68kg K2O/ha (summer season). For the mountainous north areas, it should be at 40 plants/m2both spring and summer seasons, chemical manure 120kg N + 120kg P2O5+ 90kg K2O/ha (spring season) and 90kg N + 90kg P2O5+ 68kg K2O/ha (summer season). Similarly, in Northern Central area, ĐH12 would be 40 plants/m2in the spring season and 45 hills/m2in the autumn season, chemical manure 120kg N + 100kg N + 100kg P2O5+ 75kg K2O/ha (spring season) and 90kg N + 9Okg P2O5+ 68kg K2O/ha (autumn season).

This study was to perform selection and assessment of general combining ability of the sweet corn inbred lines to select the combination of yield and quality to serve the production of high-yield and quality sweet maize varieties for Vietnam market. The genetic diversity of 32 S4-S6 self-combining sweet corn lines originating from China, USA, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan was assessed based on the phenotype in Spring 2018 conditions using NTSYS software and identified 31 groups/32 lines at the difference of 29%. Selection of elite lines was made based on the Oclit distance biological statistics program with phenotypic traits selected 8 lines (D6, D7, D15, D21, D26, D28, D31, D32). These sweet maize lines have had a short to medium day growing time (104-111 days), average tree height (94.75-134.88cm), individual productivity reaches from 15.91 to 23.03 grams, Brix degree reached over 13%. These eight lines were introduced to the top cross with two tested corn plants in the Winter of 2018 and determined the combined ability (GCA) of 8 lines based on 16 hybrid combinations using genetic software. In the Spring crop of 2019, two lines D26 and D31 were identified that have had the high combined ability for productivity and quality for breeding, high-yield and quality sweet corn varieties.

This study was carried out to breed the inbred variety with short grown duration, high yield, good quality and lightpest-resistant for Northern region of Vietnam. The DH12 was developed from segregational populations, which have derived from R2/R9311 line combination and selected by the pedigree method. DH12 has a short grown duration, 130-135 days in the spring season, 105-110 days in the summer season, 98-102 days in the Autumnseason. DH12 has good characteristics such as averageplantheight, roll flat leaves and light diseases infection. In field trials, DH12 has yield 7.2-7.8 tons/hectare in the spring season, 6.5-6.8 tons in summer season and 5.8-6.0 tons in the autumnseason, higher than controlvariety (Khang dan 18) from 10.1 to 22.0%. DH12 has milling rice 63.34%, head rice recovery 58.64%, long grain 6.9 mm, slender grain and good cooking quality. Thus, the breeding through cross hybrid between quality rice variety and intensive variety, and was selected by pedigree method, which can create new rice variety, has good quality, high yield and suitable cultivable with the conditions in northern Vietnam.

This study was conducted to determine the effective treatment regimen to mitigate the impact of the disease caused by Thelohanellus kitaueifor common carp. A total of 60 suspected common carp infected T. kitaueifrom 20 cages were collected to confirm the pathogens. Subsequently, the experimental treatments were conducted to treat for those infected fish using four different treatment regimens, including praziquantel, ivermectin, albendazole, and triclabendazole in 3 consecutive days, following with 5 consecutive days using antibiotic (doxycycline at dose of 15 mg/kg fish/day)to treat the lesions in fish intestine for all four treatment regimens. The results revealed that the fish in cages were infected T. kitauei. Infected fish exhibited the lost orientation, enlarged abdomen, and containing many giant cysts in the intestine with the average size is 1.43cm x 1.12cm. The experimental results indicated that the treatment regimen using a dose of 10mg praziquantel/kg fish/day was not effective with a low cure rate (24.92%). The treatment regimens with the dose 0.6mg ivermectin/kg fish/day or 6mg triclabendazole + 6mg albendazole/kg fish/day or 10mg albendazole + 10mg praziquantel/kg fish/day resulted to higher the cure rates, 90.48%, 85.62%, and 86.86%, respectively.

The land fund development plays a very important role in creating a clean land fund for projects on building technical andsocio-economic infrastructure. This study is conducted to assess the current situation and determine the impact of some factors on the development of land funds for infrastructure construction and urban development in Pleiku city. The methods used in research are investigation, establishment of scales, data processing, determining correlations. The results indicate that the six factors have had a very high positive correlation with 6factors included the investment attracting policies, land prices, land finance, land use planning, location of land, land area, and the role of village elders. The 12 factors positively correlated with land fund development included land allocation and land lease policies, policies on land recovery, site clearance compensation, resettlement, infrastructure construction policies, funds from the State budget, funds borrowed from credit institutions, master planning of social-economic development, master planning of urban development, urban embellishment, transportation infrastructure, the role of wards and communes’ leaders, the role of communication and information, and the role of social organizations. Capital contribution by land-use rights, sectoral planning, urban development policies, electricity and water supply are 4 factors with a moderate positive correlation. Only factors involved in monitoring and managing the project implementation process have shown a low positive correlation. Based on the results, some solutions to enhance landfund development for infrastructure construction and urban development in Pleiku city have been proposed, which deal with mechanism and policy, finance and land price, planning and infrastructure construction, and enhancing the role of the community.

The study aimed to evaluate the advantages, limitations and causes of public land fund management in Gia Lam district and propose solutions to improve public land fund management. Secondary data were collected at the Gia Lam District People's Committee. Primary data were collected from 90 households renting public land and 48 officials and civil servants. Evaluation of public land fund management according to criteria such as the publishing of land use planning; area, land lease term; land lease procedures; human resources, facilities for public land fund management, the tenant's sense of law observance etc. It was shown that Gia Lam district had 270.31 ha of public land, 216.31 ha leased, accounted for 80.02% of the total public land area. The vast majority of land tenantswell observed the land law, but still a number of people engaged in land encroachment and encroachment; used the leased land for wrong purposes; illegally transferring land; late payment of land rent, etc., The majority of cadres and civil servants had professional qualifications to meet job requirements; the payroll of cadastral cadres in many communes was lacking; Acceptable facilities to meet job requirements. In order to better manage the public land fund, it is necessary to complete the work of leasing public land fund; strictly handle acts of encroaching on, occupying or using land for wrong purposes, illegally transferring public land; promote the dissemination of the land law, inspect, examine, and sanction administrative violations of land; strengthening human resources to manage the public land fund.

The CD-1 tube-type vacuum honey concentrator with a liquid ring has been designed and manufactured based on the new principle, using the liquid ringand ultrasonic deviceto increase theevaporationabilityand crystallizationinhoneyto enhancing the quality of honey products during the condensed process.The single-case experiments have been appliedto determine the influence of concentration temperature, height of liquid ring, and time of broadcasting ultrasonic waves to the synthesis point of concentrated product quality, concentration and recrystallization time,and specific cost of electricity.The results of the experiments showedthatthe equivalent ofconcentration temperaturebetween35Cand53C, increasing the height of liquid ringfrom 380mm to 680mm and time of broadcasting ultrasonic waves from 15to 30 minwill bemore effective than increasing theconcentration temperature in terms of reducing quality due to heat effect, the concentration-time and specific cost of electricity.

The goal of this study was using a data-driven approach - FRIT, that simultaneously tunes IMC controllers in the cascade systems, in which the plants are linear, time-invariant and minimum phase. The algorithm does not require mathematical models of the controlled plants but only a set of input/output data collected from the closed-loop system. The results are not only optimal IMC controllers for the desired tracking property but also mathematical models of the actual plants.

The study aimed to assess the current situation and propose solutions to sustainable poverty reduction for the La Ha ethnic group in Quynh Nhai district, Son La province. The study surveyed 20 officials in charge of managing and implementing poverty reduction policies at district and commune levels, and 120 households including the poor, near-poor households, and households escaping from poverty (75 La Ha ethnic group households and 45 Thai ethnic group households). It was found that, over the past time, there had been many poverty reduction policies, programs, and projects implemented in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the life of the La Ha people in Quynh Nhai was much improved. However, the proportion of poor households in La Ha ethnic group was still high (43% in 2019), the material and spiritual life of the La Ha ethnic group was still faced with many difficulties; people's intellectual level was still very low, the illiteracy rate was still high, medical examination and treatment and health care for the people were still limited. Therefore, it is necessary to effectively implement the related policies to sustainably reduce poverty for La Ha people in Son La province, such as: (1) integrated investment in rural infrastructure; (2) Promotion of the application of scientific and technical advances in production; (3) Improvement of the accessibility and efficiency of concessional loans; (4) promotion of vocational training for rural workers, encouraging startup, labor exportation; (5) raising awareness of the people about the importance of education and improvement of the quality of general education.

The purpose of the study was to identify logistics factors affecting the business performance of garment enterprises in Hanoi city. The survey was conducted on a database of 109 garment enterprises in Hanoi by using the surveying methods (interview by phone, mail, sample interview on google Docs and face-to-face) and face-to-face, the collected data were analyzed by factor analysis (EFA). The results showed that five logistics factor groups had positive effects on garment firms’ performance. The research Model has indicated that using reasonably logistics costs, improving the quality of output logistics. The appropriate recommendations should be simultaneously applied following 6 solutions: (1) Investing in modern facilities and equipment for logistics operations at garment enterprises; (2) Building a close relationship with distribution intermediaries; (3) Managing the plans of input materials; (4) Improving the qualifications and capabilities of logistics staff; (5) Enhancing the enterprise inventory management; (6) Promoting the application of information technology in logistics services.

The proliferation of climate change policies and actions in Vietnam in recent years highlights a need to reconsider policy coherence for better climate governance. This paper aimed to explore the climate policy coherence in Can Tho City, whereby, to understand the climate policy coherence and provide science-based evidence for policy reforms in neighboring provinces that share many of the same policy issues. Based on the intensive literature review, the paper firstly proposes criteria for examining climate policy coherence from policy and development perspectives. This analytical toolbox was used to examine climate policies and actions in Can Tho. Results from Quantitative Document Analysis reveals that coherence in climate actions and inter-sectorial coherence are limited. Policy content analysis and in-depth expert interviews provided insights about some issues impeding the policy coherence. These include overlapping policy objectives and actions (i.e., 94.1% and 52.9% respectively), imbalance between adaptation and mitigation policies, limited inter-sectorial information sharing and cooperation, and a lack of policy accountability.
