The pineapple variety MD2 has low, prolonged and ununiform shoot production under natural conditions. Therefore, it is very necessary to process buds simultaneously by destroying the growth tip to improve propagation efficiency for production. In this study, shoot tip/growing point was destroyed at time points (3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 months after planting) and shoots of different sizes (4cm and 3 true leaves; 6cm and 4 true leaves; 8cm and 5 true leaves; 10cm and 6 true leaves; 12cm and ≥ 6 true leaves) were recorded. Research results show that mother plants shoots of 8.5 months after planting were treated and suckerss with a height of 4cm and 3 true leaves yielded 48.87 suckers/year. However, the plants were treated 7.5 months after planting combined yielded suckers with 8cm and 5 true leaves. The treatment time points and the size of the buds collected did not affect the sucker formation time ranging from 40.90 to 45.76 days and the survival rate after transplanting from 84.56 to 99.87%.

The study was conducted to select drought tolerant and high yielding groundnut varieties for development in production. The two-factor experiment was arranged in a split-plot designin nethouse at Vietnam National University of Agriculture in the Autumn2022. The first factor were six groundnut varieties (LC1, LC2, LC3, LC4, LC5, ĐBG) and the second factor included drought stress and non-drought stress condition. The results showed that drought stress reduces growth, physiology and yield (plant height, primary branch length, leaf number on main stem, nodule formation, chlorophyll fluorescence efficiency, SPAD index, number of pod/plant, individual yield) while increasing water saturation deficit and ion leakage. Comparison among varieties showed that LC3 and LC2 were more tolerant with high drought tolerance index (0.72 and 0.69, respectively) and low yield reduction due to drought (36.53% and 35.00%, respectively).​​

This study aimed to detect the presence of avian poxvirus in ducks raised in Hung Yen and Ninh Binh provinces. Some ducks showing nodular hyperplasia lesions on the beak and around the eyes were discovered in three flocks of ducks raised in the Van Lam district, Hung Yen, and Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh during May - June 2023. Diagnosis using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method showed that 3 pooled samples taken from suspected infected ducks representing flocks at each collection farm were positive for the viral genome of poxvirus. The results of partial sequencing of the gene encoding core protein 4b showed that the nucleotide similarity between the 3 poxvirus strains in this study ranged from 99.60-100%. The results of phylogenetic tree analysis also revealed that the virus strains in this study belonged to the A5 subgroup and showed a close genetic relationship with the APV_D2 virus strain (GenBank code MT877437) reported in India in 2021 and strain APV_XL (GenBank code KJ192189) recorded in China in 2014.

This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of different calcium concentrations on the growth of black apple smail in the nursing phase. The experiments were designed with four treatments and three replicates as follow: treatment 1 with 5mg Ca2+mg/l, treatment 2 with 10mg Ca2+mg/l, treatment 3 with 15mg Ca2+mg/l and the control (0mg Ca2+). The supplement of calcium was practiced every seven days. After 40 days, treatment 2 reached the highest weight, height, and body width with 2.22g; 20.75mm; 17.35mm, respectively, but statictially non-significance between treatments (P >0.05). The survival rate of snails also reached the highest value with treatment 2 at 87.3%, treatment 1 at 82.1%, treatment 3 at 78.3% and the lowest at 0% with control treatment. Similarly, the productivity of black apple snails was recorded the highest in treatment 2 at 4.04 g/m2, treatment 3 at 3.66 g/m2, treatment 1 at 2.02 g/m2and the lowest for the control at 0 g/m2.

Thisstudywas carried out to evaluate the resultsand economic efficiencyof blood cockles farming in Cai Nuoc, Nam Can, and Phu Tan districts,Ca Mau province. The average farming area fluctuated between 0.9-2.7haandthe stocking sizerangedfrom 400-1,000 inds./kgwith the stocking density of50-70 inds./m2. The blood cockles were cultured in9.1-9.7 months, the harvested size varied from65.0-74.3 ind./kg andthe average yield from1.1to 1.2 tons/ha/cultivation season. The farmers inNam Candistrictobtainedthe highest income (VND325.76± 87.05million/ha/year), followed by farmers in Cai Nuoc district (VND190.80 ± 74.87 million/ha/year)and Phu Tan district (VND129.13 ± 82.59 million/ha/year). The profits variedamong districts and closely correlated to culturedarea, experience, density and stocking period of blood cockles. The survey alsoshowedseveraldifficulties of blood cockles farming in Camau province such as complete dependenceon nature, poor quality seed sources, diseases and lack of investmentcapital.

The study was conducted to evaluate reproductive performace and egg quality of Na Tau ducks raised at Faculty of Animal Science, Vietnam National University of Agriculture. A total of 105 Na Tau ducks (15 males and 90 females)was used to estimate laying age and weight; egg yield; FCR and egg quality parameters. Na Tau ducks had laying ages at 141.67 days; the weight of the ducks when laying was 1978.02g. The laying rate in the period of 1-38 weeksreached 63.91%; egg yield reached 170 eggs/hen/38 weeks of laying; and FCR was 3.56 kg of feed/10 eggs.The egg weight and Haugh units were70.04g and 72.11, respectively. Na Tau duck eggs contained 28.21% dry matter, 12.15% protein, 14.7% lipids, 1.04% Ash, and453.67mg/100g of cholesterol concentration. The highest non-essential amino acid content in Na Tau duck egg was Glu (3.6 g/100g), followed by Asp (2.4 g/100g) while the highest concentrated essentialamino acid was Leu (2.27 g/100g). The rate of embryonated eggs,hatching rate/embryonated eggs and the rate of type 1 ducks was 89.21%, 68.45%, 90.66%, respectively.

The study aimed to point out the advantages, limitations, and causes in the process of resolving disputes over-allocated or leased agricultural land, recognizing land use rights for households, individuals, and proposing solutions to resolve disputes completely, on time, and according to regulations in Lang Son province. Data were collected from authorities and from surveys using pre-prepared questionnaires on 175 households and 164 officials directly involved in dispute resolution. From 2016 to 2022, 4,012 disputes were resolved, an average of 2.87 cases/year/commune. Conciliation successfull and unsuccessful rate, respectively, was 72.18%; 27.82%. First-instance judgments without appeal accounted for 90.50%; the remaining 9.50% have appealed. The disputing parties had well complied with the settlement conclusions. The biggest limitations when resolving disputes were poor cadastral records; insufficient human resources, limited coordination to resolve the issue, people in dispute having limited legal knowledge, and administrative procedures were not simple. Solutions include completing cadastral records and administrative procedures; promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws; ensuring enough human resources to resolve disputes; and strengthening coordination between authorities.

The article analyzed the static behavior of sandwich plates with a core made of foam material (FGP) and two surface layers made of functionally graded materials (FGM) placed on a Winkler/Pasternak/Kerr foundation according to the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). Three types of pore distribution in the core were considered: uniform, symmetric non-uniform, and asymmetric non-uniform distributions. It was assumed that the mechanical properties of the FGM surface layers follow exponential laws. Based on Hamilton's principle, the equilibrium equations were formulated and solved using the Navier solution for simply supported rectangular plates. The model and computational program were validated through comparisons with previous publications, demonstrating the reliability of the proposed solution. The influence of material parameters, geometry size, and foundation flexibility on the deflection and stress of the sandwich panel was examined through numerical examples.

Gnetum montanumMarkgr.belongs to the Gnetaceae family. According to traditional medicine, this species has the effect of preventing leprosy, eliminating rheumatism, activating blood, and eliminating inflammation, and has been used in remedies for rheumatism, bone pain, and gout treatment. In Vietnam, there are variouscommercial products to treat arthritis and gout. With the goal of isolating compounds from this species in Vietnam, we used extraction methods with increasing polarsolvents and modern chromatography methods such as thin-layer chromatography. (TLC), column chromatography (CC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Asa result, from the methanol extract of the G. montanumstem, four stilbenesgnetifolin E (1), gnetifolin K (2), isorhapontin (3), and trans-pinosylvin (4) were extracted and isolated. Their structures were determined by ESI-MS, 1D-NMR, and 2D-NMR combined with comparison with published spectral data.

The study aimed to design and manufacture a data collection and electrical load monitoring system based on SCADA and IoT technology platforms. A system with remote measurement and monitoring of electrical load parameters and remotely control of on/off electrical loads by mobile phone was manufactured. In particular, the system can automatically calculate electricity consumption and electricity bills monthly based on the flexible selection of two basic electricity billing methods currently applied by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN). These features of the system help the users always know their current electricity costs. On that basis, the users could control and reduce electricity consumption or optimize electricity costs.

This study was based on theory of planned behavior to investigate factors affecting the behavior on adoption of Acacia tissue culture derived planting materials of forest plantation households according to the certification of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) based in Quang Nam province. The structural equation modeling (SEM) technique on SmartPLS 4.0 was applied to analyze the data from 171 FSC households in study site of three districts: Tien Phuoc, Hiep Duc, and Bac Tra My. The findings indicated that a minor 15.4% of FSC households applied tissue cultured derived planting materials for their plantation. The majority of FSC households have accessed acacia seedlings from local nurseries and companies in commune and district. Efficiency awareness of tissue culture derived planting material use andknowledge of FSC households on Acacia farmingexertedpositive viewtoward tissue culture derived planting materials. The viewpersonal standards, and perceived behavior control on the use of tissue cuntrure derived planting materials positively influencedthe intention to use in the nextcycle of acacia plantation.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the factors affecting application of management accouting at Small and Medium- Sized Enterprises in the trade and service sector in Hanoi city. The data were collected from the seveys of 153 small amd medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and then assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha method, Exploratory Factor Analysis and regression analysis. The research result shows 7 key groups of factors that affected the application of management accouting at SMEs in Hanoi city, where in the most influential factor was the awareness of managers or directors. Other factors include enterprise size and,accounting staff qualifications, enterprise culture, application cost, information technology and market competition level.

Local tea (called as Truoi tea)plays an important role in the material and spiritual life of people in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province. This study aimedto study the real situation of Truoi tea fproductionand consumption and analyze the barriers affecting tea farmhouseholds. Qualitative and quantitative methods were applied in this study through semi-structured interviews with 60 small tea growers, in-depth interviews with three key-informants and four collectors, as well as collecting relevant secondary information. The information gathered relatedto area, productivity, price, income, product diversification, production trends, distribution channels, and barriers in the production and consumption of Truoi tea. Research findings showed that Truoi tea farming was long-standing and considered as an income-generating activity for smallholder farmers. However, the production and consumption of Truoi tea by smallholder farmers are being hindered by several factors such as labor shortage, low selling prices and income, decreased production motivation, complete reliance on collectors, andlack of value chain linkages.

Multifunctional agriculture widely mentioned in the international literature is closely related to the multivalue agriculture direction in Vietnam recently in terms of a sustainable direction for agriculture in the context of increasing challenges. Based on the synthesis, analysis, and comparison of domestic and foreign scientific research documents, the article recommends that policymakers should apply a sequence of 03 approaches in order: by beneficiaries, by market, and by functions to build up perspectives, goals, and strategic solutions for multi-value agricultural development in Vietnam with specific priorities. The overarching perspectivethat needs to be emphasized is that developing multi-value agriculture is the task of the whole society, which needs to be implemented by developing close links between relevant actors. The key solutions are to support and raise awareness, and management skills of farm households to effectively implement combination strategies of expanding, restructuring, and increasing the depth of agricultural production and business activities.
