Gerbera, which is diverse in colors and types of flowers, is a high valuecut flower in both the domestic and international markets. This study aimed to evaluate the growth and development of tisue culture derived plants of four cultivars of Gerbera (Red, Pink, Orange, and Yellow). The experiment was designedin a randomized completeblock design. The study results showed that, in the nursery stage, tissue culture plantlets had 83.33-100% survival rate, with 6.9-8.3 leaves/plant, and plant height in the range of 6.44 to 7.28cm after 1.5 months of transplanting. In the production stage, the survival rate of all four Gebera cultivars reached 100%, with 9.4-11.4 leaves/plant, and 26.95-34.05cm in height after 3.5 months of transplanting. The flower stalk diameter of four Gebera cultivars ranged from 5.55 to 6.13mm, and the flower stalk height reached from 39.67 to 46.14cm. The maximum head diameter of four cultivars reached 8.65-9.41cm. The head longevity from bud to fade was29.20-31.70 days. The head inflorescence longevity from fullbloom to fade was8.80-12.40 days. All four studied Gerbera cultivars grewand developed well and wereless affected by pests and diseases, suitable for planting in Gia Lam, Hanoi.

This study aimed to assess the genetic diversity of 15 yellow waxy corn genotypes with 3 check lines using 18 agronomic traits and 14 SSR markers. The field experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates in 2022 Spring season in Hanoi. The results showed that single plant grain yield was strongly positively correlatedwith cob diameter (r = 0.72), 100 grains weight (r = 0.62), and number of kernels per row (r = 0.61). Total soluble solids were negatively correlated (P <0.01) with pericarp thickness (r = -0.62). Principal component analysis showed that all of the investigated traits could be used for phenotypic diversity analysis. PIC values ranged from 0.10 (phi072and phi1277) to 0.32 (phi2276). Corn genotypes were classified into 3 groups at the similarity coefficient 45.3 based on phenotype, and into 5 groups at the similarity coefficient 0.21 based on SSR markers. Seven lines viz., YW01, YW03, YW4, YW7, YW12, YW13, YW14 and two checks viz., SWsyn1, UV showed consistent in phenotypic and genotypic grouping. Five promising lines were selected viz., YW10, YW13, YW12, YW07, and YW01 based on MGIDI index with 40% selection pressure.

This study sought to evaluate the in vitro effects of minerals, including calcium (Ca2+),potassium (K⁺), manganese (Mn2+),magnesium (Mg2+) and iron(Fe2+) on sporulation efficiency and heat resistance of BacillussubtilisCM3.1. Sporulation of Bacillus cells was induced in sporulation medium supplemented with various concentrations of the minerals. 7 days after inoculation, Ca2+(1mm), Mg2+(3mm), Mn2+(1mm) and Fe2+(1mm) as single supplements into Nutrient Broth (NB) significantly increased spore cell density of BacillussubtilisCM3.1, except for K+(10mm). Furthermore, the spore cell density and viability of Bacillus were detectable in sporulation media such as m-NB, SSM and m-SM, significantly higher compared to those in NB (P <0.05) after heating periods, especially from 30 to 40 minutes of exposure. Our results could provide better understanding of the importance of minerals supplemented into culture medium in improving the density, heat resistance of Bacillus spore, and thus enhancingthe stability of probiotic Bacillus subtilis CM3.1 during manufacturing process and storage time.

The study was conducted to evaluate the pathogenicity of Streptococcus agalactiaeserotypes Ia and III causing disease in tilapia. A total of 10 isolates of suspected S. agalactiaeretrieved from diseased tilapia in northern Vietnam in 2022 were used for identification by biochemical method and by PCR assays and serotyping by multiplex PCR. The results revealed that of 10 identified isolates of S. agalactiaeseven isolates belongedto serotype III (ST III) and three others belonged to serotype Ia (ST Ia). The experimental challenges on tilapia of the representative of each serotype showed that fish infected with the ST III isolates caused early and faster death than those of the ST Ia isolates. However, there existed no significant difference in the cumulative mortalities of 14 dpi between the two serotypes. The LD50of the ST Ia and ST III isolates were at 2.5 × 104and 1.9 × 104CFU/fish, respectively. The clinical signs and gross and histopathological lesions of experimentally infected fish between serotype Ia or III were also similar. The circulation of S. agalactiaeST Ia and ST III in Vietnam wasreported for the first time in this study and their pathogenicity was characterized inlaboratory scale.

In the process of preparing the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, many agencies and units have proactively applied information technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This article introduces the results of research on the ArcObject application to program several Desktop tools to support provincial planning work. These applications are built in the following order: (1) Identify the problem that needs to be solved; (2) Decide what type of application to create; (3) Position the correct ArcObjects for the function; (4) Application development; (5) Check the application; (6) Deploy the application. The results have been built: (1) a tool to create a land table system; (2) data integration tools; (3) a tool to automatically export database content to an Excel file or image file; (4) webGIS Lao Cai Provincial Planning database. Experimental results show that these tools significantly shorten implementation time, meeting the needs of checking, reviewing, and updating data during the planning process. The Lao Cai Provincial Planning database web app has a compact design, intuitively supports inspection and review, and meets the requirements for a planning information system according to regulations.

This paper proposed a local path planner coping with the collision-free navigation problem which considers both static and dynamic obstacles based on Timed Elastic Bands (TEB)aggregated with Simultaneously Localization and Mapping (SLAM) for self-operating/mobile robots working in thegreenhouse environment. Moreover, the proposed system is a four-wheel Omni robot constructed using Robot Operating System (ROS) platform and implemented in a high-performance embedded computer Jetson-TX2 connected with a 3D camera and lidar to collect environmental data. The simulation results based on Gazebo and Rviz software show the effectiveness of using the ROS operating system, with the TEB algorithm in controlling and monitoring autonomous moving robots, avoiding obstacles in the greenhouse This is a research direction with great potential in high-tech agricultural applications.

This study aimed to design and manufacture automatic temperature control component,windy feeder for the drying box and a windy on-off component on the drying box of the specific agricultural product dryer for grains. Theoretical research method, software research and experimental research method were utilized to receive outline aim. In this research, temperatureand wind control automation components were designed and manufactured for dryer. The automatic temperature control component as applied on the dryer must ensure reasonable temperature control of the hot air flow entering the drying barrel during the drying process. A windy feeder with an automatic wind reversal mechanism helps to control the drying time well. In this study, the newly fabricated components were assembled in a suitable dryer assembly before implementing experiments. The drying process on the dryer ứa caried out to evaluate the component's applicability and give relatively good performance when integrated into the overall dryer. The dryer temperature ưas a well-controlledduring the drying process and the windy feeder with the windy swing mechanism worked well.

In the cross-breeding of Cordyceps militaris using single spores, determining the genotype of the mating type locus is crucial for constructing a cross diagram. Individual PCRshave been conducted to identify the mating type loci MAT1-1 and MAT1-2 in this fungus. The research aimed to design specific primers for Multiplex PCR to efficiently and simply identify mating-type loci in a shorter time. The primer sequences were derived from the sequences of two mating type loci MAT1-1 (AB194982) and MAT1-2 (AB084257) retrieved from the GenBank database using the Primer-BLAST tool. The research results indicate that the Multiplex PCR, comprising three primer pairs MAT1-1-1-MUL, MAT1-1-2-MUL, and MAT1-2-1-MUL, successfully amplified products with sizes of 527bp, 323bp, and 222bp from the MAT1-1-1, MAT1-1-2, and MAT1-2-1 genes, respectively. The Multiplex reaction exhibits high specificity and reliability in determining mating genotypes in C. militaris, making it a valuable tool for applications in breeding selection based on molecular markers in C. militaris.

This study was conducted to isolate and select potential lactic acid bacteria for soy yogurt production. From 17 natural fermentation samples, 51 lactic acid strains capable of fermenting soy milk into soy yogurt were isolated. Based on the quality analysis of soy yogurt, 10 strains were selected. Using MALDI-TOF/MS technique, these 10 strains were classified into 3 species: Enterococcus faecium, Lactococcus lactis, andStreptococcus equinus. Among them, Lactococcus lactisK1 was evaluated as the best strain for soymilk fermentation due to its outstanding characteristics such as high growth rate, biological safety, and production of high-quality yogurt, especially with the ability to produce a high amount of exopolysaccharide (1,381.7 mg/kg). The soy yogurt initially received positive responses from consumers.

This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting the employees’ job satisfaction at Dabaco Bac Ninh Trading Center. Cronbach’s alpha, EFA and regression analysis were used to analyze the surveyed data from 307 employees. The results showed that there were six factors affecting the job satisfaction at Dabaco Bac Ninh Trading Center in following order: job characteristics, working environment, income, relationship with superiors, trust in the organization, and relationship with colleagues. The research proposed some solutions to improve employee satisfaction at work, including improving the working environment, implementing a fair salary and bonus regime and reasonable allowances, creating good relationships with colleagues and superiors, and strengthening employees' trust in the organization.

This study aimed to anlalyze the factors affecting leadership capacity of small and medium-sized enterprise CEO in Hanoi.We randomly selected 225 Small and Medium-sized Enterprise CEOand 225 of their subordinates according to the number of variables in the applied model, the variable/observation ratio and the proportion of small and medium enterprises by field.By applying Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis, resgression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors. The level of impact of each factor wasassessed using a 5-point Likert scale. The results showed that factors belonging to the directors themselves, the subordinates' characteristics, enterprise’s characteristics, and the macro environment positively influenced the leadership capacity of small and medium-sized enterprise CEO in Hanoi.

Soft skills are considered essential for individual success. Teaching soft skills in universities helps students enhance their soft skills and provides necessary complement to hard skills. This study aimed to assess the current status of soft skills training quality at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture and propose solutions to enhance the quality of soft skills training. The study conducted survey from 493 students, 23 lecturers, and 32 employers, and employed descriptive statistical methods, particularly principal component analysis, to analyze the current situation and factors influencing the improvement of the quality of soft skills training. The research revealed that the Vietnam National University of Agriculture has been offering soft skills training since 2016, covering 10 skills according to the learning outcome standards. Over 6 years training, more than 61,000 students were trained for soft skills. Based on evaluation from employers, teachers, and students, 70% of them were rated good or excellent for the quality of soft skills training. However, to further improve the quality of soft skills training at the university, it is necessary to focus on solutions related to program design, training organization, evaluation methods, infrastructure, teaching faculty, teaching methods, policies, and financial support. These efforts will contribute to enhancing the overall training quality.

In the context of globalization, the agricultural sector of Vietnam is transforming to improve competitiveness in the global market. One of the potential solutions is the formation and development of agro-based clusters. This study aimed to analyze the preconditions of the development of shrimp clusters in the Mekong River Delta. Based on secondary data and primary data from a survey with 180 samples of five key actors across three provinces in the region, the study found out that, the Mekong River Delta possessed several favorable conditions in terms of natural and social conditions and the concentration and specialization to develop the shrimp clusters. However, conditions such as operating institutions, and the leading role of key enterprises in co-operation in production and business were the main barriers hindering the development of the shrimp clusters. Therefore, the policy of agro-based cluster development for the shrimp sector should give priority to regional spatial reorganization, reorient production organization, enhance innovation, and strengthen support for actors involved in agro-based clusters.

This study was conducted to identify canine circovirus in dogs raised in Hanoi capital. A total of 180 swab samples were collected from dogs with non-clinical symptoms (healthy group) and dogs with abnormal respiratory, digestive, and urinary-reproductive manifestations (ill group) from animal clinics for detecting of circovirus by PCR assay. The results showed that 2/90 (2.2%) of dogs in healthy group were positive with canine circovirus, while 8 of 90 (8.9%) dogs in ill group also were positive with canine circovirus. In the ill dog group, dogs showing diarrhea symptom had the highest rate of detection for canine circovirus (about 16.7%), followed by the dogs showing respiratory and reproductive problems (6.7% and 3.3%, respectively). The results obtained in this study confirmed that canine circovirus was present in healthy and ill dogs in Vietnam.
