This study aimed to determine the influence of some aeroponics-growing factors such as: conductivity (800 µS/cm, 1,000 µS/cm, 1,200 µS/cm), temperature (15C, 20C, 25C, Control (27-29C))of the nutrient solution and the number of nodal of the cuttings (1 nodal; 2 nodal; 3 nodal) on the rapid multiplication and growth of the local medicinal plant jiaogulan Gynostemma Pentaphyllum(Thunb.) Makino. The results showed that it was possible to use aeroponics system for multiplication of Gynostemma pentaphyllum(Thunb.) Makino by cuttings. The nutrition solution SH1 with EC of 1,000 µS/cm was the optimal nutrient for rapid multiplication in terms of shoot induction. The nutrient solution should be maintained at 25C. 2-3 nodal cuttings at middle age were suitable for multiplication. The above propagation protocol yielded the shoot multiplication rate of 16.48-18.48 times/mother plant/35 days. The plantlets derived from cuttings grew well on aeroponic system. Highest biomass yield was obtained when SH1 solution with EC of 1,200 µS/cm was used.
