Allium fistusolumL.is a spicy vegatable containing variousnutrients beneficial to the human body, suchas vitamins and mineral elements. In addition, onionscaneliminatestinking/discomforttastes and excite apatite. There are several cultural practicesavailable to increase in the productivity and the quality of Allium fistusolumL, including the fertilization withmacronutrients.An experimental was carried out in Phu Cat district of Binh Dinh province to determine the effect of different KCl levels (160 kg K2O to 220 kg K2O hecta-1) on yield and quality of Allium fistusolum.The onion bulbs were planted in slight loam substrate.Theresults showed that applyingKCl at 190 kg K2O per hectare yielded in high bulb yield, larger bulbsizeand weight and higher dry matter content, reducing sugars, vitaminsCand PPand minerals in comparison with other KCl rates.
