Abstract
Water-pine shoots (Glyptostrobus pensilis) derived fromin invitroculture of 8mm in sizewere grafted(whip grafting) onepicotylsof 30 day-oldChinese Fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata) plantlets. The Chinese firindividuals were produced by sowing seedson basalt and coconut fibermix with 7:3 ratioand 70%moisture The mix wasautoclaved at 1210C, 1 atm for 2 hours to sterilize. This grafting method producedcomplete invitrografted plants. They survived and grew well after transplanting tothe naturalconditions. The resultsmight contribute to research forconservation of a rare and endangered water-pinespecies.
