Abstract
Almost all nations in the world today pay increasing attention to sustainable development because of environmental issues and resources degradation. Reverse logistics plays an important role in achieving the sustainable development goals of any organization. The purpose of this study is to provide a literature review of effect of reverse logistics practices on sustainable development’s triple bottom line. Content analysis was used to analyse the selected papers. Results of the study reveal that reverse logistics has possitive impacts on sustainable development through 5 economic, 4 environmental and 5 social indicators. However, some studies has shown vague economic and social effects of reverse logistics.
