Some coumarin derivatives possess high biological activities, such as antispasmodic effects, dilating the coronary arteries, anticoagulants, psoriasis treatment, and antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory activity. Some derivatives also exert inhibitory effect on HIV. In this study, we performed a microwave-assisted solvent-free synthesis of coumarins from using conjugate nucleophilic reactions with various amines and achieved 55-70% efficiency. The products synthesized exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activity.
